Who’s buried in the oldest grave in Willow Springs Cemetery?
What Indians roamed these lands?
When did Willow Park incorporate and who led the way?
Where is the oldest building in the City?
How did Willow Park get its name?
Perhaps you’ll enjoy finding out these answers by reading the history that’s now posted on our website. I thank the Council for allowing me the opportunity to delve into our City’s past and interpret it for those who are interested. Special thanks go to those who allowed me their time and memories through personal interviews — Wynell Stevens, Z.C. and Ray Baker, Alvist (Al) V. Rice, Edd Spradling, Ann and Steven Bolton — and to others who provided bits and pieces of the puzzle. I consider this story to be an unfinished project, and intend to keep on digging! I will be updating and adding new information frequently, so check back often.
If you have any suggestions, questions, or if you have information you would like to add to the city history, please contact me at [email protected].
